Hi to everyone,
Dad and I left this morning at 6:00 am. Got on the road and before long it was raining. We had the weather until Blue Earth, MN then it started to clear up and we had great traveling weather. By the time we got to Mitchell, SD the sun was shinning and the temp was 74. Perfect. The Corn Palace is beautiful, we watched the history of it, which was very interesting.
Our next stop was the Badlands, it was quite a site. Hope the pictures do it justice. We seen Big Horn Sheep, mule deer, wild turkeys and prairie dogs. We followed the signs to Wall Drug and had their legendary Hot Roast Beef Sandwich, which was as good as it gets. The rolling hills and prairies were fascinating.
We are now in our hotel room after a long day on the road. 780 miles. Tomorrow we'll see Mt. Rushmore and the other sites around here.
